WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S.- Baltic Foundation hosted its eighth annual U.S.- Baltic Gala on Saturday, May 16 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC. Latvian President Valdis Zatlers received the Foundation’s Baltic Statesmanship Award, and delivered the Keynote Address. The Master of Ceremonies was WUSA 9 NewsNow anchor Anita Brikman. The dinner menu was created and prepared by internationally acclaimed Latvian Chef Martins Ritins, Director of Vincent’s Restaurant in Riga. Internationally know Latvian pianist Armands Arbols also performed two musical pieces at the dinner. The photo exhibition Unseen Lithuania by Marius Jovaisa was displayed during the reception and silent auction
