Embassy of Denmark to Co-Host the 2010 U.S.-Baltic Gala

WASHINGTON, DC – The Embassy of Denmark will serve as the co-host of the gala dinner honoring Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius at this year’s U.S.-Baltic Gala and Silent Auction. The gala dinner will be held on Saturday, May 8 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC. In addition, the Danish Embassy will host a VIP reception Friday evening, May 7, before the gala. The 2010 U.S.- Baltic Gala will be the ninth annual silent auction and dinner hosted by The U.S.-Baltic Foundation. The Gala has become the premiere national annual event in Washington, D.C. for friends of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. In addition to celebrating the strong and important friendship between the U.S. and Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, the gala and silent auction serves as USBF’s largest annual fundraiser. All proceeds from the event will benefit USBF programs that foster cultural, educational, and business cooperation between the U.S. and the Baltics.
On Friday there will be a VIP reception at the Embassy of Denmark from 6:00- 8:00pm. The gala dinner begins at 6:00pm with a reception and silent auction at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel.
The U.S.- Baltic Foundation is an educational resource for U.S. policy-makers and the public. A national organization that unites all American friends of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, USBF develops and implements programs to strengthen democracy and free markets in the Baltics. The Foundation also introduces the Baltics to new American audiences with a series of public affairs programs that strengthen transatlantic relations.
